I swear I blinked and another year went by. How else could I possibly be 21 years old already?? To all the young ones who can’t wait to grow up: yes you can wait and you should wait.Growing up, or becoming an adult I should say, has been a roller coaster of a journey that I definitely would not change for anything.
I’d like to believe that I have learned a lot from the past 21 years, even though I know there is plenty of room to improve, to grow and to continue learning. This is one of the first moments in my life where I feel comfortable in my own skin and to happy to be who I am and especially who I am surrounding myself with. I seriously owe all of my successes to my family and friends who have always supported me in anything I wanted to do yet also kept me grounded enough to maintain who I am. It just goes to show that who you surround yourself with has such a large impact in what kind of person you can turn into. After all, all that toxic people do is weigh you down with them.
I’ve been shown so much love throughout the years and I honestly try to live every single day to the fullest and to just being happy. Just being around all these positive and radiant people who are all doing such wonderful things in their lives gives me the push and motivation to work harder and to live life happier.
Now on a less serious note, for my birthday celebrations, my friends and I planned a simple birthday party and being surrounded by all of my favorites all in one place made me feel so loved. And if any of you guys are reading this, I LOVE YOU ALL!!! The whole weekend went by in such a blur from preparing for the party, getting a chance to go to Flushing to eat hotpot (thanks Jack for the suggestion and also for Chloe + Paulina + Alex to making the trek there), getting dim sum with the happiest group of guys (hi Sundy + Carter + Kyle + Alex 💜) to the best birthday sushi date with Alex💑. It is definitely a birthday to remember FIVE-EVER! Thanks for all the gifts and love—I will be treasuring every gift, card and bottle *wink wink*.
Thanks to the best group of friends and to my lovely family at home who never fail to make me the luckiest girl in the world!
Until my next lil’ thought then,
