An iconic landmark in Manhattan that stands tall in the millions of photos that exist on Instagram. The Flatiron is without a doubt one of the most instagrammable places in NYC. Bloggers and tourists alike, make a trip to this part of the city when they are in town, hoping to get the perfect shot. Located in one of the nicest and bustling parts , there are also tons of things to do here (and take more photos).
The most popular shot has to be standing in front of the standing clock in front of Eataly. Make sure you bring a wider lens camera for this shot if you want to get the building, your outfit and the clock in one shot. iPhones work great for this since it is able to capture it all easily. We simply used our phones for these and were able to capture the shots we wanted. And it helped that it was a super nice day out!
The Madison Square Park is also across the street from the Flatiron. Snap some shots there on the benches, outside Shake Shack that is so pretty during summer nights with the little light bulbs are lit up, and the park itself. There is even a fountain that is so pretty during the warmer months.
There are large rocks set along the road that is great for standing on top of and taking some shots. These shots will only get the Flatiron in the back. Again, for full body shots, it’s best to use your iPhone or a wide angled lens. For half body shots, it’s gorgeous to snap a portrait mode shot! Also, I have no idea if we are allowed to stand on the rocks, so PLEASE BE CAREFUL.
Next time you are in NYC, snap some shots here if you haven’t already!
